Peninsula Pines We have a sister rental camp located on the northern end of Long Pond off Route 27 in Rome. It is newer location that has a longer rental season from May till the middle of October, and then by arrangement after that. Imagine a week during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and/or New Years (the place is fully insulated). Full weeks in May, June, September, and October go for half the peak price. It is called Peninsula Pines because the camp is near the end of a peninsula, about one mile in from Route 27, and it has some nice pines on the property. |

Many of the same amenities at our Snug Harbor Road location can also be enjoyed at our Peninsula Drive spot. Included at this location is lakefront vacationing with a 20' dock and a mooring, all on a 300' plus shoreline. The water is a bit rocky with a huge rock off to one side of the dock that the kids can swim to and then stand on. We are told that the fishing is fantastic here. This is a more private place that sits at the narrowest part of the peninsula, offering terrific views of Long Pond from both sides. Loons can quite often serenade you in stereo at night. The inside has a full kitchen that includes a new refrigerator, new stove, microwave, knotty pine cabinets, and of course a lobster pot. The floor running from the kitchen and eating place through the living room is all oak. There is a propane-heating unit in the living room and also a cable TV with DVD/VCR player. A casa blanca fan at the top of the room's cathedral ceiling helps circulate the air throughout the camp. The camp has one bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and two bedrooms upstairs (one with two twin beds and the other larger room with one full and one twin bed). Remember to be sure to bring linens (sheets, pillow cases, and towel sets) and we supply the blankets, comforters, mattress pads, and pillows. On the second floor is a lounge area that has our hallmark "rainy day" library that has the policy of taking the book home if your stay ends but your reading hasn't. The lounge also has a terrific view of the lake. There is a full bathroom downstairs with shower/tub and a half bathroom upstairs. You are using well water in the plumbing, but we recommend that you bring bottled water for your drinking and cooking needs.. It is larger than our Snug Harbor location. All walls and ceiling are 100% knotty pine except the kitchen. It has an open porch outside with picnic table to enjoy the views while eating. It sleeps a maximum of six people. Please, no pets or jet skis. Give it a try. If Karen cannot answer your questions, please feel free to contact me at 207-873-1772 or email at carnrick@dialmaine.com. Just leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patronage, Doug Carnrick - manager of Belgrade Lakes Resources, LLC |
